Is sodium cocoyl glycinate made from coconut?

Yes. This one is coconut.

Sodium cocoyl glycinate is a cleanser made by joining the fatty acids of coconut oil to glycine, an amino acid. “Cocoyl” in a name always means the coconut part. Potassium cocoyl glycinate is the same thing with potassium.

It is sold as a mild, “amino acid” cleanser and is common in facial cleansers, cleansing foams and products for sensitive skin. Mild and amino-acid-based does not mean coconut-free.
