Is sodium cocoyl glutamate made from coconut?

Yes. This one is coconut.

Sodium cocoyl glutamate is a mild cleanser made by joining the fatty acids of coconut oil to glutamic acid, an amino acid. “Cocoyl” is the coconut part. Disodium cocoyl glutamate is the same thing in a slightly different form.

It is common in facial cleansers, baby washes and products sold as natural or sulfate-free. Being mild on skin and being made from coconut are two separate things; this ingredient is both.
