Is glyceryl cocoate (and PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate) made from coconut?
Glyceryl cocoate is glycerin joined to the fatty acids of coconut oil. PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate is the same ingredient made water-soluble, and it is the one you are more likely to see.
Both are coconut. PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate is added to shower gels, shampoos, micellar waters and cleansing wipes to stop them drying the skin, so it often sits next to other coconut-derived cleansers.
