Is cocamide DEA made from coconut?

Yes. This one is coconut.

Cocamide DEA is made by reacting the fatty acids of coconut oil with diethanolamine. The “coc” in the name is the coconut. Cocamide MEA and cocamide MIPA are its siblings, made with a different second ingredient.

It does not clean much by itself. It is added to shampoos, bubble baths and dish soaps to make the foam thicker and more stable.
